Consultation has concluded
Parking in Whitchurch-Stouffville is an item of ongoing discussion with residents and businesses. Last year Council directed staff to proceed with the formation of a Parking Working Group. This group includes members of Council, stakeholder departments and members of the public. The group meets monthly to discuss and recommend solutions to parking issues, including:
Daytime on-street parking;
Overnight, weekend and holiday parking;
Special event parking;
Municipal and facility parking lot parking;
Unique aspects of downtown and other select neighbourhoods;
Parking permit program;
Zoning considerations; and
Parking By-law and enforcement
The Town will be hosting two Open Houses. This will be an opportunity for the public to review current parking rules and challenges and, provide input. The Open Houses will be:
Open House #1 When: Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 from 4pm-6pm and 7-8:30pm (drop-in) Where: Leisure Centre, 2 Park Drive, Stouffville - Large Multi-Purpose Room
Open House #2 When: Wednesday, March 11th, 2020 from 4pm-6pm and 7-8:30pm (drop-in) Where: Municipal Offices, 111 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville - Front Lobby
In addition, we have launched an on-line survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and provide any additional comments. The same information in the survey will be included at each of the Open Houses. Your feedback will be consolidated and presented to Council for consideration.
