O'Brien Avenue Reconstruction

The Town has awarded the O’Brien Avenue Reconstruction tender to Hebster Construction Inc. Work is ongoing and is anticipated to continue for the remainder of the construction season. The construction work will extend on O’Brien Avenue from Main Street to Rose Avenue. A general description of the work is as follows:

  • Removal and replacement of watermain and water services
  • Removal and replacement of sanitary sewer and service laterals
  • Removal of ditches and installation of storm sewer
  • Reconstruction of road and replacement of sidewalk
  • Site restoration

The Town has retained the services of Englobe Corporation to conduct pre-construction condition surveys of private residences. Additionally, exp Services Inc. has been retained to provide full time site inspection services during construction.

Any planned disruptions to driveway access or Town services will be communicated in advance. Please label your trash and recycling containers as the Contractor may be required to move these containers once work is underway. The Town is not responsible for damage or loss to privately-owned appurtenances located within the public road right-of-way. Please ensure that any such appurtenances are removed prior to construction.
