The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville partnered with the consultancy firm Customer Service Professionals Network (“CSPN”) to develop an DE&I Strategy & Action Plan for the Town. The Plan is intended to help the Town in continued efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce and provide programs and services to residents by using diversity and inclusion lenses.
The DE&I Strategy and Action Plan articulates the Town’s vision, values, and commitments for diversity, equity, and inclusion. To do this, the Town engaged in a 4-month project that:
Conducted an internal assessment and a community needs assessment to build an understanding of the current DE&I culture at the Town
Developed a DE&I Framework which articulated the Town’s unique DE&I Inclusive Statement, Values, and Commitments
Synthesized all data and insights to identify organizational strengths and gaps to develop a comprehensive DE&I Action Plan

It was important that the Strategy & Action Plan reflected the unique needs of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s citizens. CSPN engaged the public to hear opinions and experiences of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Citizen Survey
CSPN administered a DEI Citizen Survey in July 2022 which asked your experiences of diversity, equity, and inclusion while living in the Town.
Resident Experience Workshops
CSPN hosted a series of Resident Experience Workshops for citizens to provide their input into the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan. The workshop was open to all residents and business owners of Whitchurch-Stouffville. The workshops were an open forum discussion facilitated by the CSPN research team. The workshop took place on June 28th, 2022.
